Gnome Design Ltd. participated on the 22th of May on the B2B brokerage event in Netherlands, Arnhem, organized by the Province of Gelderland and the East Netherlands Development Agency.
We consider our presence at this event as a success, as the 13 Dutch companies present, without exception, is opening in Romania’s direction due to an unrestricted resource and skilled labor shortage.
Gnome Design’s response to this need is the success stories, references, and a skilled specialist and technology portfolio achieved with our 10-year-old partners in Germany. Our intention is primarily to leverage our technical and business experience in corporate management and logistics systems through our future presence on the Dutch market.
We are looking forward to participate in joint projects and to develop the European IT culture based on a common know-how and future vision.
Starting with the 1st of October 2018 we have the honor to participate as consortium members to the FeatureCloud project, with Horizon 2020 funding – Grant Agreement nr. 826078.
FeatureCloud is a novel artificial intelligence (AI) platform, designed to help patients, doctors and researchers. It features privacy preserving federated machine learning and block-chaining for reduced cyber risks.
Within this project Gnome Design is responsible for the system architecture and the software development of the platform and app store. We are implementing a privacy-by-design-and-architecture approach to significantly increase cybersecurity with respect to data mining of patient data stored in hospitals and care service institutions.
Team GmbH (Paderborn/Germany) is an Oracle Platinum Partner specialized in modern IT solutions and technology oriented services. We started a strategic partnership in the development of the ProStore® warehouse management and intralogistics system. We are thankful for this achievement and we are looking forward to expand this cooperation.

Last but not least, Mónika joins the team starting on the 1st of May – as the COO her responsibility is to help speed up Béla’s directorial tasks and to efficiently coordinate and manage future projects and EU tenders.

Thanks to Béla’s evangelizing calls, Gnome Design, in partnership with the Covasna County Chamber of Commerce organizes for the first time the IT and Telecom Conference of Szeklerland. The event in numbers: 100 IT specialists, 2 days and 4 plenary presentations, formal and informal round-table discussions.

Due to the membership in the Covasna County Chamber of Commerce, the leadership of Gnome Design takes on a deciding role within the Chamber in creating the IT and Telecom section. The managers of the associated companies name Béla Bihari as the president.

Following a referral from Concentris Research Management GmbH, we begin the design and development of our own CMS system built to support the workflow management of EU research projects. This partnership leads to the welcoming of a new colleague into the Gnome Design team.
At the request of the Bavarian partner, we extend our range of services with the “remote” support of the KLUSA end-users, thereby gaining significant experience in multi-level corporate support processes.
Béla becomes the sole owner after his partner choses to continue working in the field of industrial automation. With this milestone, the evolution of the company accelerates and its strategy becomes to offer IT solutions on the Western market.
The current owner of the company, Béla Bihari takes over from the onetime owner. This exchange of corporate shareholder brings a strategic renewal into the life of the company. An expansion into the German market and outsourced development becomes the primary focus.
